Vera Shanshan Lin is an Associate Professor in the School of Management at Zhejiang University, China. She completed her PhD study in 2013 from The Hong Kong Polytechnic University. She received her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Economics from Dongbei University of Finance and Economics, China in 2006 and 2008, respectively. Her major research interests include tourism demand modelling and forecasting and Chinese tourist behaviour.
Her research has been published in top forecasting and tourism journals such as International Journal of Forecasting, Annals of Tourism Research, Tourism Management and Journal of Travel Research. She has been involved in a number of research/consultation projects related to tourism forecasting and tourist satisfaction index, including Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA), Tourism Commission, Commerce and Economic Development Bureau, Hong Kong Tourism Board, Ocean Park (Hong Kong), Hong Kong Disneyland and Shanghai Disneyland.
