Dr Kai Bai is currently Professor in Tourism Management, School of Geography and Tourism in Shaanxi Normal University, Xi’an, China. He received his Bachelor’s degree in Shaanxi Normal University, acquired his Master’s degree from the University of Nantes in France, and his Ph.D. in Shaanxi Normal University in China. He spent three years at Peking University as a post-doctoral fellow. After that, as a visiting scholar, he came to the Chinese University of Hong Kong in 2015 and Valparaiso University in 2016.
Ever since 1998, Dr Kai Bai has been a teacher in Shaanxi Normal University and taught more than 800 college students through all these years. As a well-known professor in China, Dr Kai Bai has won a lot of honours, such as the Young Tourism Scholar of China awarded by China National Tourism Administration, the Most Influential Young Scholar of China in Humanities & Social Science and so on.
Dr Kai Bai has held 3 National Natural Science Foundation of China projects and more than 10 key research programs. In the meantime, Dr Kai Bai has published 3 monographs and over 100 academic papers. In addition, he won many awards about the monographs and papers.
