The MARS Centre successfully hosted its 2024 Research Showcase at the Pan Pacific Perth, drawing a large crowd of industry professionals, researchers, and stakeholders. The event served as a platform to highlight the centre’s latest research initiatives and groundbreaking findings.
The showcase featured presentations from multiple research teams that explored critical topics in workplace safety and wellbeing. The researchers from the MARS Centre delved into studies based on belongingness on mental health among FIFO workers, advanced diversity and inclusion in the mining sector through a Capability Maturity Model (CMM) and presented a new Safety BMI designed to monitor incident and injury risks.
A big highlight of the event was the keynote presentation by Maureen Dollard from the University of South Australia. Professor Dollard delivered an insightful address on Psychosocial Safety Climate (PSC), emphasizing its critical importance for organisational performance and worker wellbeing.
The MARS Centre extends its gratitude to all participants for contributing to the event’s success and continuing to advance research in workplace safety and mental health.
