Marketing, Innovation Sport and Entrepreneurship Research Cluster

Cluster Leads

Professor Pi-Shen Seet and Professor Steve D’Alessandro

Abstract

The MISE cluster focuses on contributing to SBL and ECU’s research profile by supporting and conducting high-quality engaged and applied research in the interrelated areas of marketing, innovation, sport and entrepreneurship. In line with ECU’s values, in particular, that of courage (i.e. that we are bold and resolute in our thinking and actions in pursuit of our goals), MISE is the next pivot in inter-disciplinary research during times characterised by volatility, uncertainty, complexity and ambiguity (VUCA) that builds on successful associated elements of the Centre for Innovative Practice (CIP) and the Markets and Services Research Centre (MASRC) that led to subsequent foundation of the MESS (Marketing, Entrepreneurship, Sport Squad) during the height of COVID- 19 chaos and lockdowns.
