Jalleh Sharafizad is the Course Coordinator of Entrepreneurship and Innovation. She is also a Senior Lecturer in Business Services at the School of Business and Law.

Biography

With a profound passion for research, Jalleh has achieved notable success in the fields of entrepreneurship, small business, and regional entrepreneurship development. Her extensive publications include contributions to prestigious international journals such as the Entrepreneurship and Regional Development, Journal of Business and Industrial Marketing, International Journal of Hospitality Management, Journal of Hospitality and Tourism Management, Human Resource Management, Studies in Higher Education Journal, and Education + Training.

Jalleh's continuous dedication to research has yielded significant academic contributions, earning her prestigious recognition such as the University of Antwerp's Staff Exchange Erasmus program award in 2023 and Edith Cowan University's Athena SWAN Advancement Scheme award in 2019. She has effectively and successfully led multiple research projects funded by both Edith Cowan University and the Western Australian Government. Furthermore, Jalleh has demonstrated leadership in organising prominent international industry events, notably serving as the chair for the Networks in Changing Business Ecosystems 3rd International Symposium.

As a staunch advocate for small businesses, Jalleh dedicates her time and expertise to support different business associations in Western Australia. Her voluntary contributions include assisting in the development of training programs and networking events for business start-ups, providing valuable advice and expertise to entrepreneurs launching new ventures, and aiding business owners in the growth and expansion of their established enterprises. Notably, she served as an elected board member on the Wanneroo Business Association from 2018 to 2022, actively contributing to the association's activities and collaborating to enhance capabilities for businesses within the City of Wanneroo.
