Sean is a Senior Lecturer in the School of Business and Law. He is a member of SBL’s promotion committee, co-supervisor of Masters’ students, co-editor of Journal of Australasian Law Academics Association(JALAA) and supervisor of Honours students.
Before joining ECU, Sean practiced law in Israel and Canada and was a lecturer in Waikato University School of Law (New Zealand).
Sean’s research focuses on the intersection of law, technology and Jewish law. He teaches in the Law program at the School of Business and Law and the and the Cybersecurity program at the School of Science.
Sean is the co-author two books: The Imaginationless Generation (Brill, 2019) and Privacy Rights in the Global Digital Economy: Everyday Legal Problems and Canadian Paths to Justice (Irwin Law 2014); He published numerous academic articles and presented in conference around the world. He is a co-founding member of the IEEE task force on the ethical and social implications of computational intelligence and the former WA coordinator of the IEEE Society on Social implications of technology. He has contributed greatly towards conducting the Continuing Professional Development Sessions for Law practitioners in Australia.
He was admitted to practice law in three jurisdictions namely, Western Australia, Canada (Ontario) and Israel.
