During the September school holidays over 100 Children’s University (CU) students and family members representing 18 partner schools participated in eight wonderful hands-on CU workshops across ECU’s Mount Lawley, Joondalup and Bunbury campuses.
The curiosity and energy of our young Children's University (CU) learners were brought to life as they visited the ECU Joondalup, Mount Lawley, and South West campuses and eagerly participated in an assortment of fun, hands-on workshops. fun and learning had by everyone, young and old!
Discovering secrets about the human skeleton, bone strength and how to prevent osteoporosis, getting creative and crafty with old magazines to make Zines, sparking curiosity about how maths matters in all careers, building drama skills and confidence through role play and games were the fun, educational experiences offered during the Children’s University April school holiday program.
ECU's Children's University is expanding in 2024, with regional students in the South West eligible to enrol. Designed for primary school children, specifically from disadvantaged backgrounds, its success has already seen 1000 students complete more than 64-thousand hours of extracurricular learning.

ECU’s Children’s University (CU) April School Holiday Program offered another fun learning opportunity for its members and families. Learning the skills behind coding games, exploring how geologists discover the formation of fossils, participating in drama improvisation to develop self-expression skills and self-confidence were all on offer across the Joondalup and Mount Lawley campuses.
Hundreds of WA students aged between seven and 14 have farewelled the final semester of university, graduating from The Children’s University of WA at special ceremonies held across Perth and Albany.
