Dr Susan Hill is an Honorary Senior Lecturer in the School of Education.

Background

Susan has worked on a range of education and training related programs and research projects in universities and public sector settings in Australia, UK and USA. As a Senior Research Fellow and Research Advisor at ECU for more than 20 years, Susan worked closely with academic staff and postgraduate students to build research capacity.

Her broad research interests include literacy practices, school-based support for students experiencing disadvantage, and post-compulsory education pathways.

Awards and recognition

  • 2021 - Winner, Engagement Australia Excellence Awards in the category of Outstanding Engagement for Research Impact. Citation: ‘Better Beginnings’: The development and impact of a State library and University partnership on a family literacy program.
