Karen is a Lecturer in Early Childhood for the School of Education.

Background

Dr Karen Nociti is a passionate educator with over 20 years of experience in school and university settings. Her research explores feminist, anticolonial methodologies and pedagogies for transformative place-based teaching and learning. Karen's doctoral research, titled Place literacies emerging from the common worlds of Place and children, was awarded the 2024 School of Education Research Medal and the Western Australian Institute for Educational Research Prize.
