Ashley is a Lecturer and High Achieving Teachers Program Coordinator at the South West Campus within the School of Education.

Background

PhD student Ashley Hetaraka is an experienced educator with 15 years of dedication to teaching and leadership in the field of education with a passion for promoting Women in STEM fields. Holding a Bachelor of Mathematics Education and a Master of Education in Educational Leadership, Ashley is currently completing a PhD in Education, further advancing her expertise. Her career spans a variety of roles, including Level 3 Classroom Teacher, Head of Learning Area, and Associate Principal, showcasing a passion for fostering student achievement and staff development.

As a committed educator and leader, Ashley thrives on building strong relationships, driving innovation, and advocating for student and staff success. Her current roles as High Achieving Teachers Program Coordinator South West Campus and Lecturer, reflect her commitment to shaping the future of education.
