Project - Finite Element Analysis and 3D Printing of GelMA Microneedle Arrays

This project analyses Gelatin Methacryloyl (GelMA) microneedle arrays (MNAs) using finite element analysis (FEA) and mechanical tests. It aims to evaluate insertion force, understand microneedle dimensions, and identify optimal designs for medical applications. The study involves developing biodegradable GelMA MNAs, testing their mechanical properties, and validating 3D-printed MNs through experimental and FEA data comparison.

Research Areas and Interests

  • Hydrogel (GelMA) microneedles for biomedical applications
  • 3D printing biodegradable polymers
  • Finite element analysis of microneedle mechanics

Qualifications

  • MSc in Biomedical Engineering (Biomaterials), Isfahan University of Medical Sciences, Iran, 2019.
