Project - Energy, Exergy Analyses and Thermal Improvement of Parabolic Solar Trough Collector

The use of solar energy has gained significant attention in recent decades due to its abundant availability and the environmental and depletion issues associated with fossil fuels. Solar trough collectors have been recognized as an affordable and straightforward method for harvesting renewable energy, and numerous approaches have been proposed to utilize this energy for various applications. However, their low performance and durability have created a vast area for research in this field. To enhance the heat transfer rate and improve the efficiency of parabolic trough collectors, analyzing their performance in terms of fluid flow holds critical importance. In this study, this aspect is thoroughly considered, and the fluid dynamics of the flow inside the absorber tube are analyzed in detail.
