Muhammad Bashir is the Technical Manager in the School of Engineering. His responsibilities include managing technical support across various engineering disciplines, such as civil, chemical, electrical, instrumentation and control, geotechnical, mechanical, petroleum, and IT. Muhammad oversees Work Health Safety (WHS) aspects, risk assessment, and mitigation associated with research and development facilities, teaching laboratories, workshops, and complex investigations. Additionally, he offers strategic engineering guidance concerning the establishment and/or maintenance of new facilities and laboratories.
Before joining ECU, he worked in the oil and gas industry, where he demonstrated a successful track record in developing and implementing technically and commercially competitive multi-billion-dollar mega projects by applying state-of-the-art innovative technologies. His expertise spans concept development, engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, startup, and steady operations. He has held various technical and management roles, served as the Technical Manager at Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) during the development of its world’s largest Ultra Sour Gas Processing Complex, Shah Gas Plant, and worked as the GM Technical Services for a 230K BPSD grassroots Duqm Refinery in Oman.
