Preparing for thesis examination

Before your thesis is examined, you should:

  • ensure that  your examiners have been contacted ahead of time to determine their availability;
  • submit a Nomination of Examiners form to the School Honours Coordinator at least four weeks prior to the submission of your thesis (Note: Honours students require two examiners, the School prefers at least one to be external to the University; however in some instances, both examiners can be internal);
  • ensure the formatting of your thesis complies with the University’s Rules; and
  • provide one copy per examiner.

Once your thesis has been examined, any corrections that have been made should be approved by your supervisor.
