Summary of thesis:

Ankylosing spondylitis (AS) has seriously affected the quality of life and increased the economic burden of society. The cause of AS is unclear, and the diagnosis of AS still lacks the high specificity and sensitivity biomarkers so that AS patients are hard to be early diagnosed and timely treated.

This project aims to study the role of IgG N-glycosylation in AS patients, and to investigate the relationship between IgG N-glycosylation and inflammatory cytokines, disease activity markers, clinical symptoms, and severity of disease of AS in China.
