Professor Oosthuizen is the Professor of Occupational and Environmental Health, teaching into and conducting research in occupational hygiene, environmental health and epidemiology.

Background

Jacques has been an academic in the area of Environmental Health and Occupational Hygiene since 1989, initially in South Africa. In 1999 Jacques was employed at Central Queensland University and in 2001 he relocated to ECU where he established the undergraduate course in Environmental Health and the Post Graduate Master of Occupational Hygiene and Toxicology.
