Greg is the Professor of Strength and Conditioning within the School of Medical and Health Sciences and the Director of the Strength and Power Research Group.

Background

Professor G. Gregory Haff, PhD, CSCS*D, FNSCA, ASCC, ASCA-2, USAWF-3, AWF-3 is Professor of Strength and Conditioning and the Director of the Strength and Power Research Group.

In 2021, he was awarded the National Strength and Conditioning Association’s Impact Award for his research and overall contribution the the strength and conditioning profession.  Additionally, the United Kingdom Strength and Conditioning Association recognised him in 2014,as the Strength and Conditioning Association Coach of the Year-Education and Research for the impact of his work.  In 2011, he received the William J. Kraemer Sport Scientist of the Year Award from the Nationals Strength and Conditioning Association.

Professor Haff is also a Past President of the National Strength and Conditioning Association (2015-2018).  He has published over 270 scientific papers, 9 books, and 28 book chapters.  He has a current Scopus h-index of 53 with his working being cited over 9,000 times.
