Bachelor of Science (Occupational Therapy) H96

The School of Medical and Health Sciences require that your pre-placement preparation documentation is up to date at the start of each semester and remain valid for the duration of your placement(s).

Mandatory Requirements:

Health-related checks

Health, Safety and Risk Management

  • Applied First Aid (HLTAID011)
  • Hand Hygiene Certificate
  • Mask Fit Testing Certificate - hospital placements, other sites as required
  • Mental Health First Aid (third year onwards)
  • Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Training Certificate - mandatory for placements in a hospital setting

National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS)

  • NDIS Worker Orientation Module
  • NDIS Worker Screening

Recommended

  • COVID-19 vaccination

Placement Site Specific Requirements

  • Some placement sites will require completion of their own specific pre-placement preparation documentation.
  • You will be notified of requirements in SONIA (SMHS Placement Management System) or by your Placement/Unit Coordinator.
  • Risk Management Checklist
  • Student Travel Approval Form (rural/remote placements)
