Melissa Carey is an Associate Professor in the School of Nursing and Midwifery.

Background

Prior to joining ECU Melissa was a research fellow at the University of Auckland in the School of Nursing (2020-2024). Melissa has held teaching, research and leadership positions in Queensland, at UniSQ, Griffith university, University of Queensland and Australian Catholic University. Melissa has an international research profile and is an Honorary Research Fellow at the University of Auckland.
