Research Areas and Interests

Ulrich's interest lies in improving the health outcomes for patients with chronic kidney disease, with a focus on the prevention of intradialytic hypotension and improving their quality of life. His research project  investigated the usefulness of ultrasound of the inferior vena cava performed by renal nurses in patients on maintenance haemodialysis.

Further to this, he is currently offering half day BASIC and ADVANCED vascular access cannulation workshops in combination with portable ultrasound devices at ECU.

Qualifications
