PECAN+ is a national Cyber Security Capture the Flag (CTF) competition, developed and managed by ECU School of Science Outreach and Engagement.
The event engages Australian high school students (years 10-12) from across the country to compete as teams to solve a series of cyber security challenges developed for beginners, intermediate and advanced levels. Industry and education institutions are co-opted to co-ordinate, mentor and network across a two day PECAN+ CTF event, held in August each year. In advance of the event, a national campaign for CTF challenge build submissions is run to create a novel pool of challenges each year. In this way, PECAN+ CTF links up the cyber and computer science ecosystem, to collaboratively deliver on an exciting and applied National event.
Registrations for PECAN+ CTF will open mid-year.
For current information on this year’s competition please see the PECAN+ CTF Competition website.
This annual event is free and is run in locations across Australia, with sponsorship and support from a number of Industry bodies.
PECAN+ CTF Practice challenges can be found here. Please reach out to request access to our guide to solving PECAN+ CTF practice challenges.
