On Monday the 20th of March, the School of Science hosted another successful career fair for our talented cohort of stem students. 55 industry professionals from WA and Australia’s top employers exhibited a broad spectrum of opportunities within government, mining, defence, banking, consultancy, and financial sectors. Industry highlighted their organisations, shared their valuable experiences, career pathways, seasonal jobs, WIL placements, internships, scholarships, and graduate programs with over 350 students.
The career fair was buzzing with energy from interested students asking questions and gaining valuable insight into the employment market. The event gives our students direct access to industry professionals, giving them real-world advice about the current jobs market and employment opportunities available in a vast number of industry sectors. The career fair is just one of the several events the school of science runs to support our student’s growth and employability, ensuring our students have the edge of their career.
A massive thank you to all our industry partners for making this event a huge success. We were extremely grateful to also have the support of so many ECU alumni, it was wonderful to catch up with past school of science WIL students who are making waves with amazing careers in cyber security and software engineering Shaun Barnett Emily Major-Goldsmith Hayden Grimes Dylan Immelman Connor Shannon Harry Castles Adam Brickhill Carel Viljoen Samiollah Ranjbar
