Tesserent Academy Cyber Security Team 100 challenge
Tesserent Academy consultants travelled Australia delivering a 5-day course to cyber security students and new graduates in their ‘100-day challenge’. The aim was to grow the technical capacity of cyber security students accelerating the pipeline of talent in Australia.
Professor Paul Haskell Dowland invited them to run their Perth event here at ECU. Selected ECU students enjoyed a week of learning from the Tesserent Academy Cyber Security team. It was good to see on campus and online students join us along with local TAFE students for a week of intensive training accelerating their technical skills. The week began with a three-day intensive training course followed by two days of practical hands on learning. A small exam in between saw our students certified!
Cyber security roles are on the rise due to the ever increasing number of cyber-attacks. Kurt Hansen CEO of Tesserent said ‘… this important initiative [will] help address the skills shortage in the industry…’ Students complimented the Tesserent team Peter Nikister, Linda Li and Arni Mar Hardarson for providing the workshops and most of all the cyber insights and case studies.
