2023 INCITE Award Winners Announced

The School of Science are thrilled with the outcome of this years 32nd INCITE Awards Winners & Merits!

WAITTA Achiever of the Year: Dr David Cook

The Achiever award is the INCITE Awards’ peak award and recognises an individual’s outstanding contribution to the ICT industry in WA. Nominees may include a Western Australian educator who has shown excellence in ICT education and demonstrated exceptional outcomes for both students and employers. Past winners have included IS managers, academics and persons who have built significant ICT organisations in WA.

RESEARCH & INNOVATION PROJECT (INDUSTRY) - Merit Award - Renaware: Dr David Cook, Dr Shamim Hossain, Dr Leisa Armstrong

Renaware is the applied software that provide rapid assessment and detection of anomalies in renal cancer cells, providing for the early assessment of cancer. Some forms of renal cancer are aggressive and this software provides health care professionals with decisive identification in advance of standard annotated cancer cell practices

RESEARCH & INNOVATION PROJECT (POST GRADUATE) – Finalist – Menaka Godakanda – Honey in Depth Threat Modelling

Honey-In Depth is a Token-based system of realising the value of threat modelling that includes a defence in depth layering approach to identify and monitor threats using a novel method of alignment that both recognises and slows the development of threats. It is especially effective on IoT devices.
