Research Areas

The School of Science research is diverse reflecting the discipline breadth across computing, cyber to chemistry, mathematics and natural sciences. Our research focus is captured in our three Strategic and three School Centres plus specialisations in other  key areas. We have research strength in food and horticultural science, ecology, environmental science and management, health, chemical science, data science, computer vision, machine learning and artificial intelligence, cyber security and computing. Through our internationally-recognised researchers, strong partnerships with industry, government and the community and state-of-the-art facilities and technology our research delivers solutions to real-world problems. This dynamic and supportive environment trains world ready research students. Our researchers are aligned to Strategic Centres, School Centres and research groups and make use of the range of high quality facilities.
