Research themes

The Centre conducts research across the themes of:

Health Care

  • The center has a strong engagement in health where we collaborate locally with a number of health and medical organisations. We focus on data driven assessment of health in order to enhance the safety and quality of care, to better target health resources, and to deliver health services to underserved communities.

Image Analysis and Computer Vision

  • This a long-standing research interest of most of the core members. Our application areas for image  analysis and computer vision include agriculture, manufacturing, supply chain management, intelligent cities and intelligent transport.

Defence

  • The Centre has strong engagement with defence at the government and private sector levels through a series of long-standing activities projects. In defence, we design and develop new technologies to inform decision making in the presence of uncertainty.

Robotics and autonomous systems

  • This theme focuses on AI for Robotics, including Vision Language Navigation, Vision-based Rearrangement, and Empathy for Robots.
