Research themes

CMER research falls under five key themes engaged in providing relevant research for better management of our coastal marine environment. Research in these themes encompasses a wide range of reef and seagrass ecosystems, from tropical to temperate environments. In line with the Centres values and objectives, projects largely function across themes and in partnership with external organisations while providing strong postgraduate and postdoctoral programmes to progress marine ecology research into the future. A summary of the aims and a list of projects for each theme can be viewed via the menu on the left and below.
