About

The Centre for Security Digital Futures (CSDF) is one of ECU’s most vital research groups, conducting research to deliver immediate and high impact outcomes in the areas of secure systems, critical infrastructure security, and cyber enabled crime. It has significant infrastructure and a skilled technical support base. This mix of technological backup and expertise has produced a productive team that prides itself on quality and timely output.

CSDF has proven its ability to develop innovative and creative technologies and methodologies for securing cyberspace and has grown their multi-disciplinary approach to research by including researchers and practitioners from across various disciplines. This collaborative approach nurtures the creativity and inter-disciplinary knowledge generation necessary to deliver world-leading research and innovation.

ECU is an Australian Computer Society Centre of Expertise in Security and has been recognised by the Australian Federal Government as an Academic Centre of Cyber Security Excellence. It operates as the headquarters of the federally funded Cyber Security Cooperative Research Centre for which ECU was the bid leader. ECU is also home to the CyberWest Innovation Hub, sponsored by the WA Government New Industries Fund, various local governments, and industry.
