From Sustainable Business to Regenerative Business

The webinar "From Sustainable Business to Regenerative Business," presented by Associate Professor David Webb from the University of Western Australia, was hosted by The Centre for People, Place and Planet at Edith Cowan University. Moderated by Associate Professor Mehran Nejati, CPPP's Associate Director of Research Operations, the event was a collaborative effort with the ANZAM Sustainability and Responsible Management Special Interest Group as well as the Australia and New Zealand Chapter of PRME.

In this session which was attended by 48 participants from across Australia and New Zealand, Dr David Webb covered planetary health and regenerative business practices, and emphasised the need for businesses to move beyond sustainability to become regenerative, actively restoring natural systems. This shift is crucial to address environmental challenges and ensure a thriving future for both people and the planet.

Forecast Exhibition

Forecast Exhibition

Forecast is a participatory exhibition at The Art Gallery of Western Australia that invites audiences of all ages to engage with themes of family, nature, and climate through artist-led meditative practices. 75,000 visitors have engaged with the work, contributing to 'Disappearing Forests' by painting disappearing treescapes with water and to 'Weather Patterns', a daily changing installation. The exhibition features collaborative photomontages by artists Dianne Jones and Eva Fernández, developed in response to the 'Staging Weather' project by The Centre for People, Place and Planet's artist-scholar Dr Jo Pollitt in partnership with the WA Bureau of Meteorology.  Forecast brings together arts, science and education, to deepen human relations with weather in creatively addressing climate futures, inviting attention and care at a time of rising eco-anxiety and climate grief.
