Dr Chadni Islam

Dr Chadni Islam is a Lecturer of Computing and Security in the School of Science.

Dr Chadni Islam is a Lecturer of Cybersecurity at Edith Cowan University (ECU) and an Adjunct Lecturer at Queensland University of Technology (QUT). Prior to joining ECU, Dr Chadni was a Lecturer of Cybersecurity at the School of Computer Science at Queensland University of Technology (QUT) in Brisbane, Australia. Before that, she worked as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in the CREST research group at the University of Adelaide, where she focused on cybersecurity research.

Dr Chadni completed her PhD at the University of Adelaide in collaboration with CSIRO’s Data61 Distributed System Security Group, conducting research at the intersection of cybersecurity and software engineering. Her research interests span cybersecurity, software engineering, natural language processing, and machine learning, with a particular focus on integrating emerging technologies to enhance security and resilience in digital systems.

Passionate about both teaching and research, Dr Chadni is committed to fostering innovation in cybersecurity education and developing novel solutions for modern security challenges. She actively contributes to advancing knowledge and practices in cybersecurity and software engineering, leveraging machine learning and natural language processing to address contemporary threats.
