Hayley is a Vice Chancellor’s Research Fellow in the Centre for Integrative Metabolomics and Computational Biology (CIMCB) in the School of Science.

Background

Hayley is an early career researcher experienced in analytical chemistry and metabolomics, in particular, the use of gas and liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry techniques for profiling small molecules in complex samples. To date the majority of this work has been in biochemistry, exploring human and animal samples for small molecule biomarkers of diseases such as asthma, otitis media and polycystic kidney disease. Hayley has also used these metabolomics approaches in agriculture and food systems to uncover biochemical mechanisms underlying grain quality.
