Background

Emily completed her Masters by Research at ECU in 2020, titled ‘Modernising Conservation Through Technology: A metabolomic investigation of a critically endangered freshwater crayfish, and has worked at ECU in various roles and projects since 2011. She is most often found in the teaching labs on campus and conducting science engagement activities. She also has experience working in the field, including remote locations, and a wide-ranging knowledge of aquatic and terrestrial methods, with most projects related to aquatic fauna in wetlands.

Some projects include:

  • Gnangara Mound Environmental Monitoring Programme: Macroinvertebrate and Water Quality Monitoring 2019 – 2022
  • Gingin Brook Groundwater Dependant Aquatic Fauna Studies 2019-2021
  • Gascoyne Study Tour 2021 - Support Staff
