Carbon Literacy Training
The effects of climate change are being felt in different ways around the globe - floods; droughts; severe and record heatwaves and cold snaps; increased and devastating thunderstorms/cyclones; rising sea levels; melting ice caps; warming oceans. Mitigating these effects will require a concerted, collaborative effort - from all sectors of the global community. Starting with you, the individual.
Delivered by our passionate team at the School of Business and Law and certified by the Carbon Literacy Project, UK, this course is part of a global movement to educate, engage and help change behaviour around the world in addressing climate change.
You should do this course for any one (or all) of the reasons below:
You want to understand what carbon emissions are and where they come from.
You want to be able to differentiate between greenhouse gases, their sources and effects.
You want to be able to calculate your emissions and know how to reduce them immediately as well as in the long term.
You want to learn how to talk about climate change, justice and impact - and encourage people to join you on the journey.
You want to deliver a sustainable future - for generations to come.
You want to be part of the global solution to deliver Net Zero by 2050 (or earlier) and create a planet positive Earth.
This four-part series will help you find the WHY organisations need to decarbonise... and what your role is. The course is educational, empowering and necessary.
Set a week apart, each session is approximately 2 hours long and can be delivered online or in person or hybrid mode.
