The ChatGPT Revolution: A productivity Game Changer

Since its inception in November 2022, ChatGPT has emerged as one of the most revolutionary and potentially life-changing online developments, in recent times. ChatGPT uses artificial intelligence (AI) to generate a wide range of productivity-enhancing activities that cover: document analysis and preparation, business practices, learning, decision-making, planning, idea generation, writing, language and teamwork practices and more.

Why this course is for you

This course is aimed at anyone in a corporate environment, anyone who is running their own business or wishing to start a new business. This course is particularly useful for project managers, planners, analysts, risk and quality managers, and anyone wishing to improve their productivity, innovation and develop themselves personally.

Course Overview

While ChatGPT uses natural language, using it effectively requires the skill of preparing well-designed instructions. This course will prepare attendees to effectively communicate with the system and to train it to generate a wide array of outcomes, which can be developed to create more useful information. This course will explore and test some of the most important outcomes for later use in a variety of settings. ChatGPT is effectively your own, free personal assistant, available 24/7 to deliver high-quality outcomes.

Course Details

The course will commence with an overview of ChatGPT and other products which offer complementary activities to produce a suite of AI tools that can be used to harness additional productivity capabilities. Also explored will be the preparation of instructions (prompts) that can be shaped and crafted to produce the best results and outputs required. A range of business and non-commercial use cases will also be discussed, with attendees being actively involved in tasks that tailor the responses to their personal circumstances and requirements. The course will offer opportunities for collaboration and group brainstorming activities where attendees use their individual skills to develop new ideas while honing their ChatGPT skills.

On completion of this course, attendees should have a broad overview of ChatGPT. They will also learn how to use ChatGPT to develop high-quality outcomes by crafting accurate prompts and inputs. In addition, attendees will be able to use their new skills to apply ChatGPT to a range of new and personalized environments in their workplaces and personal lives. The focus will be on productivity, innovation, writing, and knowledge creation. Attendees will be able to continue developing their knowledge after the course by following the guiding principles provided to them during the sessions.

Equipment: The course will be run on a BYO (bring your own) device basis, and those attending must bring their own device (such as iPad or laptop) with Internet capability. WIFI will be offered to attendees during the course.

About the Facilitator

Dr Ross Yates is an experienced IT professional, with broad, cross-sector experience in the engineering, mining, higher education, health care and not-for-profit sectors, and works closely with a range of corporate professionals as an educator and assessor of competence. Ross holds Chartered Project Professional status (ChPP), is a Certified Practising Project Director (CPPD), and is a member of the Australian Institute of Project Management (MAIPM).

Ross holds a PhD in online, transactional privacy, a Master of Internet Studies as well as postgraduate teaching degrees. He is also a certified workplace trainer holding Advanced Diplomas in IT Project Management, Business Analysis and Program Management, as well as diplomas in project management, procurement and contracting, business, leadership, management and vocational education.
