Master of Security Management

Effective from 01-JAN-2016 : Code U68

This coursework program is designed to prepare security executives and consultants for strategic security management responsibilities in corporate and government organisations. The main themes of this course are advanced risk management, contemporary intelligence, advanced security science and technology, private and public security, and the analysis of contemporary issues in security. In addition, there is an opportunity to expand an interest in a specific area through a capstone project.

Admission requirements

  • Into a 120 credit point Masters Degree, a Bachelor Honours degree in the same discipline; or
  • Into a 180 credit point Masters Degree, a Bachelor degree in the same discipline; or
  • Into a 180 credit point Masters Degree, a Bachelor Honours degree; or
  • Into a 240 credit point Masters Degree, a Bachelor degree; or
  • Where accepted, equivalent prior learning, including at least five years appropriate professional experience.
