Music (Instrumental) Education Minor

Effective from 01-JAN-2019 : Code MIAAGP

This minor is designed for those who wish to teach music to individuals, not in a class or group setting. Students can choose their specialisation units from relevant units offered by WAAPA, and have the opportunity to learn about teaching music in a primary or pre-primary setting. Note: This minor is only available to students studying the Music major.

Students are required to complete 60 credit points worth of Minor Content Study units and 30 credit points worth of Curriculum Minor units. Content units educate students in the subject area and the Curriculum units explain how to teach the subject area to others.
